The Pathway

God has a pathway for each of us. For all, it is to find your spiritual center once again. To trust Him again… To love Him again… To find His peace again… Spiritual healing is the key for everyone.

The path to physical healing is different for each of us. Just as our Heavenly Father created us as unique individuals, He also has our own path of healing. It is through our spiritual healing and restoration of our personal relationship with our Father and His’ Spirit that we find the way we are meant to take for complete healing. For some, this may be one thing or a combination of many things. One person may find physical healing manifest through their medical doctor and counseling. Another may find healing through nutritional support and prayer. And yet another, God will instantly set free through a prayer and then praise and thanksgiving. Although the path can be like the “shadow of death,” it is only a shadow. The king of fear cannot take over you when you have the Prince of Peace in your heart, mind and spirit. The journey is important because it is how we gain our strength outside of ourselves in order to accomplish our purpose in life.

Think about how robbed you have been of life! It angers me when I think of the days and nights that were wasted consumed with fear of living itself...consumed with where I had to go and worried about the panic that might ensue. Just think about what I just said… “where I HAD to go.” Nothing in life was “I GET to go.” The things I once enjoyed and looked forward to became a chore and a burden. This is not the abundant life we are suppose to have through Christ. Yet, I was stuck and had no way out! I yearned to be “normal” again. I yearned to be able to be a friend, a wife and daughter that could be there for someone else, versus always needing to count on others to bail me out of a panic situation.

That is when I began to realize that I could not handle “Christians” that were full of words and no power. When you are drowning (which is how panic makes you feel…as if you are having your last breaths of life!), fancy words and rhetoric about how God is good mean NOTHING! It must be His Power and His Spirit of Peace that is VERY REAL. If it is not felt as a REAL presence, then you are alone to suffer. This is why we need to sit with God and ask for His Spirit to fill us and surround us. The spirit of fear CANNOT survive in the same place as the Spirit of God. It is impossible for the spirit of fear to overtake the the Spirit that IS Peace. This is why I contend that the first step to healing panic/anxiety attacks is to examine your spiritual relationship and to ask for the REAL presence of the Spirit of God. Once you begin this first step, then God will begin to reveal his path to your healing.
